Background
1989 : establishment of France Alu Color (FAC) by Bernard Simian.
The factory houses the first-ever independent vertical thermocoating line in France.
1991 to 1993 : 2,500-m2 extension and installation of a horizontal coating line.
2002 : replacement of the existing horizontal coating line with an increased performance line.
2003 : FAC taken over by the Installux Group.
2005 : expansion of area and modernization of laboratory. The site reaches 8,500 m2 under cover.
2007 : new extension of the site to 12,000 m2 under cover.
Installation of a new latest-generation vertical coating line.
Setting up of two new activities: wood finish and crimping.
Storage area for Client logistics.
2010 : investment in a powdercoating line for cast aluminium and Noryl accessories.
Trade
Integrated into the Installux Group, FAC remains an independent company in its management and strategy. FAC aims at being a specialist in coating aluminium profiles and has adopted the very latest technology in order to achieve this:
• A vertical coating line: twin-belt allowing for a constant production flow.
• A horizontal coating line offering flexibility in the colour finishing of sheets and specific profiles.
• A coating line for accessories.
• A décor unit enabling transfer treatment (wood finish) of aluminium profiles.
• A crimping line for two-colour powdercoating.
• A storage warehouse made available to Clients for their own logistics. This new service allows us to offer a tailor-made offer, in terms of packaging, dispatch, loading etc.
The plant and all of its industrial processes meet the current (chromium-free) environmental constraints. A large-scale investment is given over to recycling and treatment of waste.
